Monthly Member Meetings - First Tuesday of each month
Members and guests of the CCC meet on the first Tuesday of each month from 7:30 am - 8:30 am at the Al Hattendorf Center. Meetings include the planning and coordination of volunteer events, community sponsorships, scholarships, grants and more.
Packages for Patriots - February 18, 2025 and November 18, 2025
The Community Character Coalition assists Packages for Patriots at the Church of the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church two times a year in packing goods and treats for service men and women serving our country throughout the world. Packing is from 7pm - 8:30pm. The CCC also collects items for these packages every month at our general meeting. Packages for Patriots sends nearly 30 packages every month.

Chalk it Up to Character Week - Week of May 11-17, 2025
This week long event invites all schools, businesses, governmental organizations, churches, scouts, and all residents to participate in designing and displaying positives pictures and messages using sidewalk chalk. This week we create a positive environment in our Village by chalking it up with character!
CCC Fallen Soldier Scholarship Awards - May 13, 2025
CCC, in partnership with Elk Grove Village, Friends of the Library and Shinnyo-en provide scholarships to high school seniors from Elk Grove Village. Applications for the $2,000 2024 Fallen Soldier Scholarship are due by Tuesday, April 19th at 3pm.
Pack the Pantry - May 10, 2025
Community-wide collection of food items that will be donated to the Township Food Pantry. Collection at Jewel, 20 Biesterfield Rd from 9am - 1pm.
Backpack Drive - June - July, 2025
Community-wide collection of new backpacks to be distributed to students in D59 schools. Various drop-off locations available.
Play, Picnic, and Party! - July 13, 2025
CCC participates by hosting an activity table at this event for village youth. Time and location to be announced.
D59 Fall Festival - September 2025
Community organizations come together with an activity for families to play. Immunizations will be available. Date, location and time to be announced.
Elk Grove Village Hometown Parade/Oktoberfest - September 20, 2025
Members are parade participants and assist with volunteer duties at the Oktoberfest celebration.
Halloween Fest - October 24, 2025
CCC hosted Halloween event with game stations and prizes. Located at the Elk Grove Pavilion; time to be announced.
Make a Difference Day - October 25, 2025
Community-wide collection of toiletry products that will be donated to the Township Food Pantry. Collections at Jewel, 20 Biesterfield Rd Elk Grove Village from 9am - 1pm.
Toys for Tots - November 2 - December 2, 2025
Collection box distributions begin at CCC monthly meeting and throughout various Elk Grove locations. Final collection of donated toys provided to the Marines during the CCC December membership meeting.
Wreaths Across America - December 13, 2025
This is a patriotic event to remember and honor our fallen heroes and teach our children to do the same. The event is in partnership with Elk Grove Village, The Daughters of the American Revolution and Wreaths Across America and is held at the Elk Grove Cemetery from 10am - 11:30am.
