Elk Grove Resident Wins 2017 Chevy Corvette, Raffle Raises Funds for Local Veterans
Elk Grove Village, IL – July 26, 2017 – On Tuesday, July 25, during the Kool & the Gang concert on the Village Green, the lucky winner of the Vette for Vets Car Raffle was selected. During a break in the concert, Robert “Kool” Bell, drew the winning ticket belonging to Elk Grove resident Gary Spragg. Gary will drive away from the Castle Chevrolet North on Arlington Heights Road in a brand new 2017 Chevy Corvette.
The Vette for Vets Car Raffle raised money to support local veterans. The funds will be used to help construct a much needed elevator at the Elk Grove VFW Hall, our Veterans’ home away from home.
Mayor Craig Johnson said, “I’m thankful to Castle Chevrolet North, whose generosity made it possible for our community to take care of the veterans, who have taken care of all of us.
The raffle would not have been possible without the generosity of Joe Castelbuono, Tony Castelbuono and Bob Politza, the owners of Castle Chevrolet North, who donated the Corvette to help support local veterans. The Village thanks Castle Chevrolet North, as well as the Community Character Coalition, who ran the raffle, for their contributions to the very successful raffle.
Congratulations to Gary Spragg—enjoy the new ride!
